El Registro General Sanitario de Empresas Alimentarias y Alimentos (RGSEAA) es una base de datos de carácter informativo, gestionada por la Agencia Española de Seguridad Alimentaria y Nutrición (AESAN), cuya finalidad es la protección de la salud pública y de los intereses de los consumidores.

Esta base de datos incluye el censo de empresas alimentarias que operan en España y requieren registro sanitario nacional, resultando ser una herramienta eficaz para facilitar el control oficial de las mismas.

El RGSEAA tiene carácter nacional y está unificado. Las Administraciones públicas implicadas prestan su colaboración para conseguir la mayor eficacia y exactitud del RGSEAA.

Su base legal es el Real Decreto 191/2011, de 18 de febrero, sobre Registro General Sanitario de Empresas Alimentarias y Alimentos.

Para solicitar el Registro Sanitario cada Comunidad Autónoma dispone de unos requisitos para su solicitud.

La solicitud se realiza en la Administración de la Comunidad Autónoma correspondiente mediante la presentación de una solicitud, documentación identificativa del solicitante, programa de autocontrol y memoria de actividad. (Memoría de Actividad RGSEAA)

Para ser solicitado en la Región de Murcia se tienen que cumplir los siguientes requisitos:

  • Que la sede del establecimiento o la sede o domicilio social de la empresa que no tenga establecimiento esté en la Región de Murcia.
  • Que su actividad tenga por objeto:
    • Alimentos o productos alimenticios destinados al consumo humano.
    • Materiales y objetos destinados a estar en contacto con alimentos.
    • Coadyuvantes tecnológicos utilizados parta la elaboración de alimentos.
  • Que su actividad pueda clasificarse en alguna de las siguientes categorías:
    • Producción, trasformación, elaboración y/o envasado.
    • Almacenamiento y/o distribución y/o transporte.
    • Importación de productos procedentes de países no pertenecientes a la Unión Europea.

La Autoridad Sanitaria de la comunidad autónoma realiza la visita al establecimiento para validar la solicitud y envía el expediente a AESAN.

Una vez se dispone del Registro Sanitario, es responsabilidad de la empresa mantener al día a los organismos sanitarios respecto a cualquier alteración en la dirección física del establecimiento, cambios en la titularidad o en los procesos y productos.
