IFS Logistics es un protocolo privado reconocido por la Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) para auditar empresas de transporte, almacenaje y distribución. Se centra en la seguridad y calidad alimentaria de los servicios logísticos realizados en el ámbito del transporte por carretera, ferrocarril, aéreo o barco tanto para productos congelados como sin congelar. Ha sido desarrollado por las cadenas de distribución alimentaria alemanas, francesas e italianas  con la participación activa de las entidades de certificación, minoristas, industria de la alimentación y empresas del sector servicios.

El objetivo de IFS Logistics es proporcionar una extensa guía a los proveedores a que suministren servicios logísticos seguros conforme a las especificaciones y a la legislación vigente.

Este protocolo requiere la previa implantación de un sistema de gestión de la calidad, un sistema APPCC basado en el Codex Alimentarius, así como la implantación y gestión de Prerrequisitos e Instalaciones. Incluye todos los requisitos exigibles a los suministradores y se ajusta a los requisitos internacionales (GFSI), proporcionando una visión detallada de los requisitos de seguridad alimentaria y control de la calidad.
